The shockwave, et all, are not intended to be fired from the shoulder. So not a shotgun. The smoothbore is why the Judge .410 pistol is not a shotgun, the barrel is rifled, albeit minimally The >26 for not AOW is mentioned above. Hmm, I had an 870 with a fully rifled slug barrel.
